There used to be a saying in the wedding industry: “Wedding season is upon us,” which generally meant the heaviest wedding months in spring and fall. But in reality, any season is a beautiful time to have a wedding, especially if you incorporate the character of the season and the outdoors into the design and feel of your wedding. Here are some ideas to bring seasonal charm into your wedding.

Bridebox has great suggestions for colors, flowers, decorations, and drink types for every season. Here’s one of their suggestions: “Wintertime tends to create one of the most gorgeous outdoor settings, so it’s fitting that your wedding flowers reflect that beautiful nature. Calla lilies are elegant and regal, roses are classic and lovely, hollies are festive and seasonal, and peonies are sweet and colorful. There are so many great flower combinations that will add a special touch to your decorations.”

Martha Stewart weddings is full of seasonal wedding ideas. Here is a sample of some of their suggestions for an unforgettable fall wedding: “Create an enchanting ceremony path by adding untamed posies to a wooden flower frame. Echo the look with an equally abundant bouquet. At the reception, recycle your makeshift garden into an escort card display.”

Stylemepretty has wonderful tips for how to highlight the season through your floral arrangements. Here is one of their suggestions for a spring wedding: “If your wedding venue has a garden, consider connecting your floral designer with your venue’s coordinator and gardener. Your floral designer will then be able to determine the colors and flowers that are just starting to bloom in the gardens surrounding the venue property. Incorporating similar blossoms and colors into their compositions will carry that spring garden indoors.”
